Biography :                       Call was founded in Santa Cruz in 1980, vocalist / guitarist Michael was Scott Musick and Tom Ferrier. There were Musick was born in Oklahoma. Been previously a member of the group Chicago, the aorta, and then, between 1969 and 1971, Lovecraft, the successor of the zone in the psychedelic rock band HP Lovecraft [1].
Starting with their self-titled debut in 1982, Call went on to produce a total of 10 albums of 2000. The premiere self-titled album was recorded in England, and was later recalled that the group was in the research stage at this point. It was pointed out in 1988 interview, "The challenge was compassionate album, but it probably came out as anger." Peter Gabriel loved the group so much that he asked to open for him during his 1982 "Shock Monkey" tour.
The next album, Modern Romans, was noted for its political content. Been later said: "There was a lot going on politically - Grenada, Lebanon, or the Russian government say are evil, and the Russian government will probably say the same about us. This kind of thinking inspired me to write the last lines of 'Walls Came Down".
There followed a period scene of Dreams. Were referred to it as a "call metaphysical" album. With a strong poetic sense of the text and changes in equipment, the change of a different sound. Garth Hudson of the Band played the keyboards on these first three records.
Reconciliation was recorded in summer 1985. At the moment the group is not a contract for two years, because of what has been described as "litigation" between the former record label and their Call Management Company. However, once the agreement was signed with Elektra Records, the group resumed the game and produced their most commercially successful album to date. Peter Gabriel, Simple Minds, Jim Kerr and Hudson, and former Assistant Band Robbie Robertson all guests an album that was released in 1986. Several tracks from the album became hits on the Mainstream Rock chart, and also one of those tracks, "I Still Believe" was overwritten by Tim Capello Russ Taff, and appears on the soundtrack of the movie Whoopee Boys 1986 and 1987 movie Lost Boys.
Then there was the 1987 release of the group in the forest, which was named his favorite album. [Edit]
In 1989 they released Let the Day Begin, whose title track reached #1 on the map of the U.S. Mainstream Rock. Red Moon, which included backing vocals Bono, U2, was released in 1990.
In 1996, Warner Bros. released the best Call, which featured selection of old favorites and some new songs. Two songs, and we feel this way, there were different versions of the tracks will then be considered on a solo album, Been, and in case of "feel this way", "Light Sleeper", as well as the soundtrack.
In 1997, the sky and back, was released Fingerprint Records, then a live album Live Under the Red Moon in 2000.

This exhibition will explore the Rock 'n' roll artists (including the Call), radio stations, personalities, places, and the fans, who call Oklahoma home. In addition to the facts of each story, the exhibition showed how growing up in Oklahoma affected the music. Stories were displayed in an innovative style to encourage participation by visitors and ensured that the visitor had taken a fresh look at the history of rock and roll in Oklahoma. Song Call "Oklahoma" was a finalist for the state song.
Michael Been died of a heart attack evident on August 19, 2010. He was in the Pukkelpop music festival in Hasselt, Belgium [2]. [Edit]

Biography :
Selena was born in Lake Jackson, Texas, and the youngest child of Mexican [22] father, Abraham JQuintanilla r. and Marcella Ophelia Zamora, [23], and was raised by Jehovah's Witnesses [24]. She began singing at the age of 6, and when she was nine her father founded the singing group Selena at Los Dinos, which she facade. First, they run a restaurant family in Quintanilla, Pappa Gayo, but the restaurant failed shortly [19].
The family soon went bankrupt and was evicted from his home. Taking their musical equipment in an old bus, they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. There, they performed wherever they could: at the crossroads, weddings, quinceañeras and fairs. [25] Their efforts to spread their names and talents paid off in 1985, when 14-year-old Selena recorded her first album, local record companies. The album is not sold in stores and her father bought all the copies. [Citation needed] It was reissued in 1995 under the title "Mis Primeras Grabaciones. In early 1995 Quintanillas discovered that Yolanda Saldivar, who was president of Selena's fan club (Texas Section) and the head of its boutiques, was stealing money from the fan club, and decided to fire her. Soon after the fallout, Selena agreed to meet Saldivar at the hotel Days Inn in Corpus Christi [31] on the morning of March 31, 1995, to obtain documents for tax purposes. In the hotel, Selena demanded the missing financial documents. Saldivar transmission delay, claiming she was raped in Mexico. [4], the singer went Saldivar at a local hospital, where doctors found no evidence of rape [32]. Saldivar returned to the motel where Selena again demanded the missing financial documents.
Selena Saldivar said he can not trust anymore. At 11:49 am, Saldivar drew a pistol from her purse, pointing it at Selena. As the singer turned and left the room, Saldivar shot her once in the back. After death:
Selena's death have widespread impact. Major networks interrupted their regular programs to break the news, Tom Brokaw referred to Selena, as the "Mexican Madonna" [36]. Numerous vigils and memorials were held in her honor, and radio stations in Texas played her music non-stop. [4] The funeral drew approximately 60,000 mourners, many of whom traveled from outside the United States. [4] Among the celebrities who are reported to have immediately phoned Quintanilla family to express their condolences were Gloria Estefan, Julio Iglesias, Madonna [25]. People magazine published a commemorative issue in honor of Selena and her music career under the name of Selena 1971-1995, her life in pictures. [4] Several days later, Howard Stern mocked Selena murder and burial, scoffed at her funeral, and criticized her music. Stern said: "This music does absolutely nothing for me." Alvin and the Chipmunks more soul ... Spanish people have the worst taste in music. They have no depth. Stern's comments anger and fury of the Hispanic population in Texas. [37] After the random order arrest behavior was released in his name, Stern later made on air apology, in Spanish, for his comments. [38] Two weeks after her death on April 12, George Bush, then governor of Texas, declared Selena's birthday 1916 April, as "Selena Day" in Texas.
That summer, the album Selena dreaming of you, a combination of Spanish-language songs and new English language tracks, debuted at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200, making her the first Hispanic singer to accomplish this feat [39], and a second place debut after Michael's HIStory Jackson. [25] On its release date, the album sold over 175,000 copies, a record for a pop singer, woman, and was sold 2 million copies in its first year. [40] Such songs as "I Could Fall in Love" and "Dreaming of You" played well the main English radio, with the latter reaching # 21 on the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, "I Could Fall In Love", and not subject to the Hot 100 at the time, reached # 8 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart and Top 10 Adult Contemporary chart. David Byrne pays tribute to Selena on his past tours with Tosca Strings child, performing their duo God. "Dreams of You" was certified 3x Platinum in the Recording Industry Association of America. K-LOVE began as a single radio station, KCLB-FM (now KLVR) [3], in 1982 in Santa Rosa, Calif., as a result of the efforts of former San Francisco disc jockey, Bob Anthony (Fogal).
In 1988, coverage expanded after the transmitter was moved to another location after a fire destroyed 9,000 acres (36 km2) around the original location of the transmitter. On March 28, 2009 it was announced that John and Sherry Rivers will no longer be hosting the popular K-LOVE morning show because of family problems. Host Lisa Williams assumed the duties of hosting the program, and later joined by Eric Allen. It is not known if John and Sherry will return to K-LOVE. In a letter published on the site K-Love, John and Sherry said that their sudden departure due to addiction to pain John headache tablets, which were held in the previous two years [6]. Egg Recall Applies To The Second Producer Of Lowa:Investigation of outbreaks of intestinal illnesses in 10 states said Friday on the second largest producer of eggs, Iowa, as a possible source of contaminated food, which led to an almost tripling of cases of salmonellosis during the last three months.
Hillandale Farms of Iowa on Friday voluntarily recalled 170 million eggs produced from April 9 after epidemiologists in Minnesota are connected its products salmonella outbreak in May. In two previous recalls in the last 8 days, another company, Iowa, Wright County Egg, recalled 380 million eggs, some laid back in mid-May.
The newly recalled eggs were distributed in 14 states in the West and Midwest. As previously recalled eggs, the vast majority of them are alleged to have already eaten.
Latest recall grew out of the investigation, federal and state scientists in the sharp increase in infections caused by Enteritidis Salmonella, the second-leading cause of food borne illness. In May, June and July, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention received samples from the 1953 S. Enteritidis cases. Usually at this time, he receives about 700.
Salmonella outbreak relatively common, and are often the source of contamination and found none. It is likely that two eggs outbreaks involving Iowa farm accident and accidentally caught because of increased investigative attention on the problem.
"The investigation is still in the process of identifying potential community", said Sherri Mc Garry from the Food and Drug Administration Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.
One of the main things the investigators are trying to determine whether the two companies share the reasons for its products have become infected.
A spokesman for Hillandale Farms, Julie DeYoung, said Friday that the company and Wright County Egg to make use of the same suppliers. "One of these suppliers, the quality of eggs SRL, which supplies chicks and feed for both companies and is the property of the family Decoster", she said. Hillandale Farm of Iowa is part of a private national network of poultry and dairy farms. This 2 million chickens in two towns in Iowa, Alden and Western Union, said De Young. Its output is currently sent to a processing plant where the eggs are broken and the liquid is white and the yolks are processed in such a way that kills all bacteria.
