Green Land Shark Complete Information

Green Land Shark:Description: A large shark Greenland shark Cold frequent at greater depths. Teeth in upper jaw, narrow, pointed, smooth edged and not very great, and their teeth in the lower jaw and diversify with strong oblique wings. The color changes slightly, adults may be brown, black, gray or purple slate gray, while the parties may have a purple hue, or perhaps dark streaks or white patches.

The eyes on this shark is small, and there are outlet above and behind him. Both dorsal fins are small and of equal size and the caudal fin asymmetrical. There is no anal fin.

Range: This shark is mainly an animal with cold water. It is present in the North Atlantic Ocean in the polar latitudes, but can sometimes be found further south in the Gulf of Maine, or very rarely, and southward to the Gulf of Mexico. In the Atlantic Ocean can be found in Baffin Island in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and on the Scottish shelf. Habitat :
This type of shark inhabit arctic and subarctic waters, where the water temperature of -2 to +7 degrees Celsius. This is the only species found regularly in these cold waters. Life Story:
Joined the largest specimens of this species 6,4 meters (21 feet) and weighed 1,022 kilograms (2250 pounds). However, the average size range for adults is usually from 3.5 to 5 meters (11 by 16 feet). This shark is extremely slow growing animals. Tagging studies have shown that some adults may grow at a rate of only 1 cm (0.4 inches) per year. A Greenland shark captured 16 years after tagging has grown from 262 cm to 270 cm There is no reliable data on their lives. Although many fish feed on fast swimming, it seems quite sluggish shark, and can capture prey as ambush predator.

Diet:
Greenland shark is capelin, symbol, halibut, herring, salmon and lumpfish among other fish. It also feeds on marine mammals such as seals, sea lions and cetaceans.
