Board of Education Announces Acting Superintendent:Montgomery County Board of Education voted to appoint Assistant County Manager Sue Hutley as Acting Manager Montgomery County schools, beginning August 1, 2010, until a new head on the ground.Ms. Hateley has a wide range of experience in the field of education. During his stay in Montgomery County, she served as an elementary teacher, elementary and middle school curriculum coordinator of secondary school assistant principal, and elementary schools. In addition, it also serves as director of elementary and second director, and she currently serves as Assistant Chief of curriculum and instruction.
Mrs. Hatley was a teacher in North Carolina for over 20 years. She has a master's degree in school administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as well as the educational level of expertise in curriculum and instruction. She is currently working on a doctorate in education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
The appointment was approved at a special board meeting called tonight, July 21, 2010.
