Lorenzen Wright, A Former NBA Player,Reportedly Found Dead:Once the missing person within 10 days, the police reportedly found the body of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright.Authorities told the Associated Press, that they could not confirm the identity of the body they found south of Memphis, but his uncle said Wright died. Two law enforcement officials confirmed the Memphis Commercial appeal, that the body belongs to him. Wright, 34, was last seen on July 18, when he was supposed to fly out of town, his family filed a missing persons report four days later.
Wright played in the NBA for 13 years, the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, the Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers. In 778 career games, he averaged 8 points and 6.4 rebounds. He is survived two daughters and four sons.
Wright's family issued a statement through their cousin, Camella Logan:
"Family Lorenzen has come together to mourn their loss and honor his heritage. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and condolences, as they are comforting in a very difficult time. In addition, we ask that you respect the inviolability of private life, as we are trying to cope with their sudden loss. "
