It is unclear what led to the shooting, but authorities said a detective investigating complaints of sexual activity in public, when he collided with a man about 6 pm.
Police did not release the employee's name, and he was taken to University Hospital in Newark after the shooting, and then was drugs, so authorities were unable to interview him until yesterday evening. Gamon was also taken to the same hospital and died about 9 pm.
Gamon was a resident of Atlanta, president and CEO of the credit union. He was in New Jersey high school reunion, that he was not present. More information is expected to be released about now.
