RNC Chairman Michael Steele resign Following His Calling The War In Afghanistan

Another prominent neoconservative called for RNC Chairman Michael Steele to resign following his calling the war in Afghanistan is largely-winnable conflict choice USA President Obama.
In a statement submitted to the Huffington Post on Friday evening, Liz Cheney, an influential figure in conservative circles of foreign policy and, obviously, vocal criticism of the president, approved a similar call for the resignation of Steele Weekly Standard, Bill Kristol.
"Comments RNC Chairman Michael Steele about the war in Afghanistan is deeply disappointing and wrong," Cheney's statement read. "The Chairman of the Republican Party must be steadfast in its support of the American victory in the war on terror - a victory that can not be solved if we do not prevail in Afghanistan. I fully endorse the letter to Bill Kristol Chairman Steele. It is time for the post of President Steele to resign .

Cheney and Kristol, are still the highest of Eminent Persons to call for the resignation of Steele. No elected Republicans weighed in on this issue, partly because Congress is largely checked at the 4 th recess in July.
Steele has since clarified his controversial remarks, calling for a firm U.S. commitment to military force to Afghanistan on behalf of the president. His hold on the chairmanship at a time, there appears to be relatively safe, while other members of the committee refused to call for his resignation. Katon Dawson, South Carolina Republican, who was initially opposed to Steele to the post of RNC, was one of the institutional Republican to call for the resignation of the chairman.
But Kristol and Cheney's remarks are significant in as much as they represent the real cracks developing in the broader GOP, and probably a precursor for the creation of more digits to call on Steele to resign.
