Opinion: The truth About Shirley Sherrod, Big Government And The National Association For The Advancement Of Colored People

Shirley Sherrod was a video showing a clip of racism within the federal government? Not hard if you know the whole story. Big Government and the NAACP-got it wrong.
Given the recent controversy around the Tea Party and the NAACP charges of racism in its elements, it's not surprising that supporters of both factions are looking long and hard to find evidence that a bank who is calling the kettle black. And Andrew Breitbart thought that he found it in Shirley Sherrod. But, as expected in political life, this whole story was not told.

Big Breitbart to the government website YouTube video shows Sherrod, now former director of USDA Rural Development in Georgia, speaking at the NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner March, telling the story of how she did not fully help the white farmer when he turned help preserve their farm. Sherrod further states that she believes the farmer talked as if he were above it, and that Sherrod had decided not to give him "full force" in her care, thinking that the new bankruptcy laws and took him to a white lawyer would end up save it in any way.

He eventually get help "their own kind."
Storm follows. Cries of double standards are sent via the Internet, and blogospheres Twitterverse. As can be called a racist NAACP to another organization, when they are against racism within their own, especially when it comes to the federal official appointed?

The problem is that the story of Shirley Sherrod had not been completed. The rest of the story, as she says, is as follows:
This happened in 1986, long before she was appointed to the federal position. Sherrod worked on a group of nonprofit organizations. It is, indeed, to keep using it could give the farmer. But when she learned that he did not receive assistance they need from anyone, Sherrod changed her mind and gave him extra help.

"I was a story about how to work with him helped me to see the issue is not about race. It is about those who are against those who do not have."

This assistance will eventually help save his farm.
Says who? Eloise Spooner, her husband, Roger Spooner, a farmer in question.
Eloise saw the story about the news and turned to her husband, Roger, and said that she could not believe what they are doing to his "friend". So she contacted CNN and told her side.

She treated us very well, and have us all we could, "said Eloise Spooner, of Iron City, Georgia. Spooner said she remembered that Sherrod helped find a lawyer to help her husband, Roger.
She added that she did not believe Sherrod treated fairly.

You could see Sherrod wiping tears, as Eloise said side Spooners.
Breitbart is not the only person who does not get all the data before they are published. NAACP made the same mistake. They quickly condemned the clip and actually put a statement on its website.

"We hope that all who share our outrage at the statements Sherrod would join us in moving these cases to be resolved.

They are so removed, but (to no surprise), you can still find it on the big Breitbart to the government website press time.
Sherrod said that they never contacted her to learn the whole story.

"It hurts, if you look at my story ... I did more for civil rights in this area than some of those sitting in the positions.

Sherrod said she never used race as a factor, since this event, to include ownership here with USDA.
I think big government can not be trusted in the end. And if the NAACP wants to make charges of racism against anyone, they do not have to worry about pot kettle black. They just need to look before they leap.
