Bicycle Helmets, Ibuprofen, Jammie Dodgers, And, Uh, Drinks. Three Mothers Went To ... Wiley Great Adventure

On Friday night in Belfast and 3 busy moms prepare for the weekend. The usual bustle of packing gifts for weekend birthday parties accompanied by a frenzied pack for exploration weekend. Along with this lady put together their own packages: ducks, cycling helmets, bananas, fig rolls, and ibuprofen.


Fionnula Mann, Christine Nagle and Maura Corey were pounding the pavement together for 6 years. They have all run marathons and participated in the management of competitions.

Nevertheless, 10 weeks ago, when her husband Fionnula Simon suggested that they try a different kind of challenge, the ladies hanging their coaches and rose on their bikes to prepare for Cooperation Ireland Belfast to Dublin Maracycle. Maracycle a 2-day event last Saturday and Sunday with more than 1000 cyclists pedal from Belfast to Dublin and return along the same route the next day.

The trail took Moira, Banbridge and Drogheda and finished at Dublin City University. A total of cyclists covered a distance of 216 miles, a mammoth task for the trio, as none of them had no experience riding a bike.
