Agent: Byron Scott Accepts Cavs Coaching Job

Cleveland - LeBron With or without him, Byron Scott decided to return to the NBA sidelines.

Scott accepted coaching job as Cleveland's LeBron James officially became a free agent and is no longer the property Cavaliers, who hope that the planting of the best coach available to convince the two-time MVP to stay home and try to win the title.

Agent Scott, Brian McInerney, said by e-mail Associated Press, that he and the Cavs are working through some final details, but do not expect any problems, and that Scott has agreed to become the next coach of Cleveland. The team is expected to announce the hiring of Scott's later than Thursday, as James listens to suggestions from the New Jersey Network and the New York Knicks.

Scott, who previously coached in New Jersey and New Orleans may not know for some time, if he would have him James Registry. But after working as an analyst for television, 49-year-old decided it was time to return to what he loves most.

Cavs looking for a coach with Mike Brown was dismissed on May 24, ending 5-year run with the club. Brown guided by James and his teammates with the most successful launch in the history of the franchise, but not to win the championship.

Scott recruitment ends curling drama Cavs' coaching search.

Los Angeles Lakers assistant Brian Shaw, seems a favorite to become the coach of Cleveland after an impressive two-day meeting with the club earlier this week. As of Tuesday, Shaw reportedly installation staff to bring to Cleveland.

But despite the seemingly Cavaliers moves to address Shaw - to the point where McInerney has sent a congratulatory letter to Shaw in a few news outlets - CEO Chris Grant resumed talks with Scott on Wednesday.

Scott's dream was to coach the Lakers, but Phil Jackson might return to the champions, he decided to take the Cavs, who could be better prepared to re-sign James Scott on the sideline.

James said that he would play for former NBA player, and Scott to resume includes 14 per season - 11 with the Lakers - and the three names. He was a teammate of Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the famous "Los Angeles Showtime" team under coach Pat Riley, and then Kobe Bryant. He knows what it takes to win everything.

As a coach, Scott has led some of the less talented teams in the finals and networks have a strong relationship with the star Jason Kidd, which collapsed in the late-time guard in New Jersey. In New Orleans, Scott took the Hornets surprising run to the final of the Western Conference, and was close to the guard, Chris Paul, who is the best friend of James in the league.

Cavs was a bad achievement Tom Izzo of Michigan, who declined to $ 30 million to stay with the Spartans. Cleveland had a few conversations with Scott, who flew himself in Michigan and met with owner Dan Gilbert in a Father's Day.

Shaw emerged as the leading candidate, but then something pushed the Cavs to Scott, landing him in time to make an impression on James, who will hear performances of networks and the New York Knicks in the first day of free agency.
