Charlotte Adjusts DNC Step Ahead Of The Committee's Visit:A special meeting of the briefing will be held Thursday afternoon in the center of the city government, as leaders gathered to step to the 2012 Democratic National Convention. The host committee is expected to visit next week.

Charlotte compete with three other cities. Earlier this week, committee in Minneapolis and Cleveland. St. Louis is the fourth finalist.

If Charlotte lands convention, officials estimate it could bring in $ 150 million to $ 200 million into the local economy, and it would enhance the authority of the city on national and international map.


Michael Dino, CEO 2008 Democratic National Committee hosted the Convention, said he likes the chances of Charlotte in 2012. Party will announce its decision later this year.
