Providence Journal Newspaper Site Returns After 'System Maintenance' And Projo

The website of the Providence Journal went back to work after down more than three hours Tuesday morning after experiencing technical problems.

The site began to load normally, about 11 am Tuesday.

Customers achieve projo.com Tuesday morning a blank page, except "HTTP/1.1 Service Unavailable." The message usually indicates a server overload or a Web site technical fault.

According to the magazine for parents, Dallas, AH Belo Corporation, were not available for comment Tuesday morning, a woman in press office said.

Around 10:15 am, the newspaper published a report apologies for the inconvenience and said technicians perform some "service system".


The magazine, however, continue to post the items on its Twitter and RSS feeds, as well as its news blog.

Magazine site last experienced major break in July 2009.

The last trip occurred less than a week before the AH Belo plans to report its second quarter profit.
