Unemployment Extension Vote, July 20, 2010:The Senate put forward a bill on unemployment extension today after a vote of 60-40. All Democrats, except Ben Nelson of Nebraska voted in favor of the bill, along with two Republican senators.Votes: read aloud, and when the clerk reached the newly appointed senator Carte Goodwin "yes" vote came applause from the Democrats in the building. Currently, the unemployment rate increased coverage bill was passed by another vote in the Senate, which is also expected today.
